Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.” — Proverbs 31:28 (ESV)

On Mother’s Day, we pause to honor the women who reflect God’s love in the most tangible ways. A mother’s care, patience, and sacrifice often serve as a living illustration of the Lord’s compassion and steadfast love. Whether biological, adoptive, spiritual, or by heart, mothers nurture life and faith in others through their words and example.

God has woven into motherhood a beautiful echo of His own nature. Isaiah 66:13 says, “As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you.” In a world filled with hardship, a mother’s touch reminds us that we are seen, valued, and deeply loved—just as we are by God.

Today, let us thank the Lord for the gift of mothers. Let us encourage those who mother others in the faith. And for those who carry grief or longing today, may God’s comfort draw near and fill every aching place.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of mothers. Bless them with strength, joy, and peace. Help us to honor them well—not just today, but every day. May their love always point us back to You, the source of all grace and comfort. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
