WEEKLY DEVOTION

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together… but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” — Hebrews 10:24–25 (NIV)
God never intended for us to follow Jesus alone. From the very beginning of the church in Acts 2, believers gathered to pray, worship, share meals, and strengthen each other’s faith. Fellowship is more than just being in the same room; it’s about sharing life—lifting one another up, bearing burdens, and celebrating God’s work together.
When we walk alone, it’s easy to grow weary or discouraged. But when we surround ourselves with other Christians, their faith can inspire us, their prayers can support us, and their encouragement can help us keep going. Proverbs 27:17 reminds us, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”
If you’ve been distant from Christian community, remember that fellowship is God’s gift to keep us strong. Showing up—whether in worship, a Bible study, or over coffee with a brother or sister in Christ—can refresh your spirit and remind you that you’re part of God’s family.
Prayer:
“Lord, thank You for the gift of Christian fellowship. Help me not to walk this journey of faith alone. Teach me to encourage others and to be encouraged by them, so that together we may grow stronger in You. Amen.”
